Dak walked alongside him as he held onto her hand tightly. She was living in the moment, as she always was, then she smiled as he brushed a piece of hair out of her face. She glanced at him, as she walked slowly beside him. Dak was enjoying the silence, though she wondered if he would say something.

Truth was, he didn't actually know what to say. He'd never really been in the presence of one so beautiful, one that made him want to scream for joy like this beautiful lady did to him. He smiled and looked to her, trying to find the words to say in the shine of her hair. Out of the blue, a question popped into his head, and he muttered it under his breath with a chuckle. "Will you marry me?" was the words that hopefully got caught up in the wind and went unheard. He looked to her and smiled widely. They were already about halfway to the park, and he was just basking in her brilliance. "What brings you here on this fine day, Dakota?"

Dakota waited for his words to come, and when then did she listened. Her reply was, "Just out enjoying nature." Then she muttered softly "And you..." though she hoped he didn't hear it. She looked up still gazing into his eyes which were like a maze, for she was lost. She again longed to kiss him, but pushed it away, and looked over at the grass, trees, and flowers.

He smiled, he could see the begging in her eyes but he felt a warning in his heart. He still couldn't trust her; he didn't know if that dog was not really her boyfriend. Who cares? If it was stupid enough to go away, then it obviously doesn't know what it has. He blushed, not hearing her added, and you, and he leaned in a little, and kissed her gently on the cheek, and then pulled away, blushing more, as if he hadn't done anything. He turned his gaze toward the sky, smiling as the sun was setting. His gaze shifted back to the park, and he looked through it for the perfect bench. "Come on, my princess..." he paused, tripping over his own foot as he realized what he actually just said. He blushed, but continued on, not wanting to miss the chance. "there's the perfect bench to watch the sunset. We have to hurry before some old people don't snatch it up!"

Dakota blushed as he kissed her, and she kissed his cheek as well, smiling. She stayed close by his side, following him. Then she nodded as he spoke again, and she matched his pace, which was faster than before. She was still blushing as they walked on happily together.

They reached the bench in record time, and he could not help but smile at the beautiful maiden whose hand he still held tightly. His gaze shifted away, looking to the sun. "Just in time, milady. And we have front row seats." He squeezed her hand gently, not wanting to let it go even for a moment. He had been alone so long now, and now he was attached already to the first girl that had ever been nice to him. He couldn't help but wonder if it was healthy. Nonetheless, he made a gesture with his hand to tell her to pick a seat, as if their was much of a chose. "Lady's first." He waited for her to sit down before he followed suit.

Dakota smiled bigger than before, and when they reached the bench, she sat down. Then, looking up at Koko she waited for him to do the same. Her eyes stayed looking at him, and she hoped she found the one she would be with forever. She hoped he would never leave her, because she thought he was the one for her.

When she finally sat, he smiled down to her and sat close to her side. His eyes turned away from her as he tried to sort out his feelings, and he looked at the setting sun. The stars were beginning to dot the sky. He turned to Dakota and put his arm around her shoulder, pulling her closer to him. Softly, as if almost not wanting to be heard, he whispered in her ear. "I never thought I'd meet an angel, and here is one in my arms. As long as you want me to, I'll never let you go." His hand raised and he put it under her chin, pulling away slightly so that he could look into those beautiful eyes. He couldn't help but get lost in them. "Dakota, has anyone ever told you that your eyes are like ocean pearls?" He didn't wait for an answer. He was trembling, not sure what the feeling in his stomach meant, but his lips tingled and he kissed her.

Dakota watched the sun set and the stars come out. Then she heard Koko speak, and she looked at him listening to his every words. She was about to reply to his question, but before she could he kissed her. She was really starting to fall for him, and she hoped this moment would never end. She felt happier then she had ever felt before. Dakota had lost all thought of everything, but this moment here with the one she was starting to... love.

Here in this moment, he felt that the world was a beautiful place for the first time in his life. Things were maybe even starting to look up for him. His lips pressed against hers a little harder, and he heard a dog barking in the distance. He ignored it at first, but it grew louder, and he knew in the back of his mind that the moment was going to end because her pet was coming back. What had it's name been? He chuckled and broke the kiss, but pressed his forehead against hers and smiled, looking into her eyes for the few moments he had left before the dog reappeared. It was dark around them, they had held that kiss longer than he had thought. He smiled again, and waited. It was time he walk her home. He didn't want to push things.

Dakota heard the dog barking, and felt Koko break the kiss, so she guessed he heard it too. She turned to see Striker running at them at full speed. She sighed and for once wished Striker would leave her alone! He had broken up the one moment she wished to live forever. She looked back at Koko wondering if he had been annoyed by Striker's presence as well. She wondered what would happen next, just then Striker appeared in front of them, wagging his tail.

For the first time, he didn't seem to pull away from the dog. Instead, he smiled and leaned down to pet its head. It seemed friendly enough right now. "You're just doing your job, aren't you boy? Protecting her from a deprived guy like me." He smiled and turned back to look at Dakota. It was hard to say the words that he said next, but he knew that their meeting had to end. "It's getting late, we should get home." He stood, squeezing her hand gently. He never had let it go. He smiled down to her. "But if I walk you home, can I see you again?"

Striker, understanding his words, nodded and barked happily. Dakota smiled, happy he was being nice now. Then she stood, and nodded at Koko's words. "Yes of course you can." she replied happily. Then, she gave him a quick kiss of the cheek, and held tightly onto his hand. Striker seemed to object no more, because he saw Dakota was happy, so he was happy too.

Koko blushed slightly as she kissed him. He didn't want the night to end, but at least he could make sure she was safe when he walked her home. He looked to her and smiled, not knowing which direction to go, but he delayed the inevitable by asking another question. "Where would you like me to take you, next time? It'll be a real date though, so..." He looked down at Striker and chuckled slightly. "No pets allowed." The places they could go flickered in his mind, and he winced when he realized what time it was. In half an hour, he'd have to shift. He looked to her apologetically, and sighed. "Oh well, we can talk it over as we walk." He started walking toward the residential, where he figured she lived as well.

Dakota nodded and replied, "I don't know, But I'll make sure to leave Striker at home, as long as I have you for protection I don't really need him..." Then she hoped Striker hadn't been offended, after all they were best friends, she would always need him. She pushed it away, and walked by Koko's side, with the little pup close behind. Her eyes still sparkled every time she looked at him, she sighed and almost forgot about Striker.
