[Semi-Private, Thieves only]
A silent figure swept through the tunnel, her white dress like a ghost, glowing in the faint darkness. She glanced back a ways, and finally, after traveling so long on abandoned railtrack, reached the subway entrance. There were five columns lining the drop to the tracks, and a large slab of concrete leading up to the stairs. She shifted and flew to the top, and then shifted back, seeing herself alone. There was only one reason she was here, the find a thief. Who were apparently hard to find. The graffitti covered walls held no clues to where they might be. Skylar leaned back and glanced around, looking for something to steal or break into. Nothing. Just a bare slab, exposed and cold. Unlike any regular person, she didn't shudder and cringe, bounding up the stairs to night civilization. No, for fourteen years she had spent on the streets, and the subway held no eeiriness for her anymore.

A dark blue-gray vulpine padded down into the subway. Being in his fox form, Alex could smell someone new, a female. He growled loudly, waiting for the intruder to show herself. He sat down, curling his bushy tail around his paws. Then, he called out into the darkness, "Who's there?" Alex never took kindly to intruders, unless maybe they were looking to join the thieves. He shivered as he sat there, it was a cold night and even colder in the subway. He flexed his long, sharp claws, he was ready if whoever was here decided to attack.

Skylar decided that it was now or never. She had to speak up and not show her sudden nervousness. There would never be another chance to prove that even though she was younger, she could put up a fight. Stepping into the light, she met the foxes gaze firmly with her young face and said boldly, "I am Skylar, and I am looking for the leader of the thieves." She kept her eyes on the fox, wondering if he even was a thief. For all she knew, he could be an assassin, and for even metioning thieves, could get her throat ripped out.

Alex met her gaze and nodded. Then he said, "That would be me, Names Alex." He watched her in silence for a minute or two before adding, "What do you need?" He lifted his tail and motioned for her to come closer. When she looked nervous he said jokingly, "I may be a fox, but don't worry I don't bite." Seeing how young she was made him think she was no threat and was possibly only here to join. He sheathed his claws again, looking more calm now.

The nervousness of her stomach ceased as she listened to him introduce himself. Skylar moved forward at his motion, and took a deep breath. She had brought a necklace she had swiped to prove she was a thief, but now realized that it meant nothing. Anyone could believe she was from a rich family and was just here to be rebellious. He was in shifted form, and she wished she was, but a skylark? He was a fox, and if he didn't like her, the older teenager could snap her little bird figure up in a few seconds. Slowly, she began, "I'm hoping to join the thieves guild. I've lived on the streets all my life, and I've pick pocketed and snatching things for a living, despite my.... 14 years of experience." She silenced her lips, wondering if he would ask her to prove herself of something. Alex seemed like a nice guy, after all, he didn't bite. Then she realized that she would have to show she was a shapeshifter, so she shifted and flew down in front of him, looking up at the now gigantic fox with innocent brown eyes.

Alex listened to her words and then said, "If you wish to join you have to show me you will be useful." Then he watched her shift and fly over to him. Looking down at her he said, "So, do you have proof that you are a thief?" He was an understandable guy, but he wouldn't let her join unless she was a true thief, and a shifter. She had proved one thing, that she was a shifter. So, now he sat, looking down at the bird and waiting for her to prove herself as a thief.

Skylar smiled, he had said exactly what she'd been waiting for. The necklace might as well have been tossed out of her pocket, and she smiled and shifted back into her human form. Nodding her head, she motioned for him to follow her, and crept up the stairs in her dress, looking so young and innocent in the light. The square was blaring with horns and noise, just as she had predicted. Well, Alex would have to shift now, no fox could brave these lights and horns. Slipping around she walked inbetween a group facisnated by a street performer doing a few card tricks. Easy prey. She slipped her hand into their pockets and withdrew their wallets, one by one, just going down the line. All of the people were too drawn into their X-mas shopping to notice, and she withdrew the cash and credit cards, and then slipped their cheap wallets back in. If it was an expesive leather though, that was going to sell at the pawn shop. Strolling back over to Alex she counted her earnings, $900 in cash. By the time the credit card owners realized theirs had been stolen, she would have used up everything, until they were so deep in debt there was no getting out of it. Then she held up the money to Alex. "Here, my admission fee. Take it. There's a million more of them out there..." She smiled like an innocent child and waited for his reaction.

Alex shifted into human form and followed her, impressed at what he saw. He watched her steal the wallets, swipe everything out of them and put them back. When they were away from the people he nodded and took the cash. After counting it he said, "Not bad... nine hundred dollars. Alright, you may join. Now it is time you met the other thieves, follow me." He put the money in his pocket, walked off a ways and shifted back into fox form before looking back at her and waiting.
-OK, now we just need the other thieves in the post lol-

Skylar nodded as he turned and walked away. She quickly bunched up her fist as a smile crossed her face, the universal sign for "Yes!". Then she also followed a ways and shifted into a skylark, flying closely behind the fox. He's impressed! Yes! I'm in!
-Can you start the next post? Since Skylar isn't going to be freely roaming the thieves territory and all...-
