Hmm, looks good. Rayne thought, finishing his fourth sketch. He had been sat in the mammals section for almost three hours now, sketching the exhibits. He glanced around, spying a couple of people looking at the exhibits, and a tour group just coming in through the main door. Quiet, like always. People must not be interested in mammals any more. He could hear the chatter of a school group from the next room, and hoped they would not come into the exhibit, disturbing the quiet atmosphere. He started another sketch, this time of a deer. Bad choice, the tour group was just walking past, and the guide stopped to talk about the deer, just like she did every hour of every day, since Rayne had started coming in. "Deer are a group of ruminant mammals from the family of Cervidae." she started. Rayne whispered along to the speech, pretty sure he could repeat it. Maybe I should get a job here he thought. No, not a chance. They probably wouldn't like my hours. He picked up his sketch pad and strode out of the doorway, turning left to get out through the lobby. He turned his head to nod at the security guard, same guy as last week, and suddenly bumped into someone. "I'm sorry" he spoke, bending down to pick up his pad.

Skylar was following her boring school group into the Musuem of Natural History, lagging behind until finally they were out of view. The stupid tour guide doesn't even know I'm gone, and neither does Mrs. White! She probably wouldn't even notice I was missing if I ran out into the street and jumped in front of a car! Skylar laughed, and made sure she was always out of view to her group. They were headed this way, so she quickly turned the corner into the lobby, and plowed straight into a man. Her cheeks didn't turn red as she looked up at him, but she didn't yell, 'Watch it!' Like she would have with anyone else. She just calmly looked up into his eyes and said, "Excuse me, I got lost from my group..." Even though he didn't look like a man to go tattle on a bad schoolgirl, she wasn't taking chances. Suddenly the crinkled firm hand of Mrs. White was planted on her shoulder, and Skylar looked up to see her teacher looking sternly down at her. "Stay with the class... Come..." She walked off and Skylar wished she could kick her, who gave her the right to be barking orders like a dog trainer? Sit, stay, come, roll over, turn in your homework! She smirked and walked a few steps behind her, then twisted off and walked out of the doorway and into the street, leaving them behind. School was so outdated.
