Siren walked down the street with Flame, and into the Mall's tall arches that led to the door. She opened the door so they could both get inside, and walked over to the entrance to the movie theater. Paying up for both of them at the counter, she grabbed a bag of popcorn and started into the theater, where the movie was just about to start... |

Flame walked close behind Siren still smiling. He watched her following very closely. All pain in his shoulder was forgotten now though he would rather still be alone with Siren he was happy just to be with her. He yawned and walked into the dark theater.

Siren continued to walk into the theater, and to her surprise, it was jammed full! It reminded her of the times way back when people had to go to a cinema to watch the news. She slipped her hand into Flames and took the last two seats by the exit. Some people were standing up, and the theater was blaring with the noise of impatient people. Finally, the lights darkened, and Siren watched the screen intently as the narration started,
"A long, long time ago, when shapeshifters roamed the Earth freely, there was peace between man and these beasts. They worked together to build the ancient cities that stand in ruins today. Then a sudden plague wiped them out, or supposedly wiped them out. Look around you at this very moment, there is probably a shifter among you right now..."
Murmers of unease rose from the crowd, and people peered over their seats cautiously. Siren did the same instead of sinking lower in her chair, just to look like she was nervous too. The narration continued... |

Flame yawned and sat down beside Siren listening as the narration went on. He rested his eyes shut while still listening, and laughed a bit to himself. Well at least they got something right..... there are shifters here.. I don't know why I'm here, but I am. he thought to himself with a small laugh.

Siren smiled as the narration went on into some evolution theory, and she sunk down into her chair. Then she reached over and put her arm around Flame. Turning to him, she smiled, reached over, and kissed him on the lips. Then she turned back and yelled,
"Boo! This information is crap! Who's going to tell me theirs a stupid animal person in this room?!"
Soon, murmers of agreement filled the theater, and people began filing out of their seats and heading out. Siren smiled and turned back to Flame,
"Now, who thought we could be alone in a movie theater?" |

Flame laughed and kissed her back then replied, "I'm just glad to be alone, with you." He looked at her and smiled then he said, "So... Shall we go now?" He didn't know why, but he had a sudden urge to be in his tiger form again. Then he looked down at his shoulder and noticed a bit of fresh blood gushing from his wound. He just ignored it and looked back up at Siren, smiling.

Siren smiled and said,
"Who says we have to leave to shift?"
With her last words she sprang and shifted into a raccoon in mid leap, landing on a seat five rows in front of Flame. "Wow! The gravity really pulls you far!" she exclaimed, and then started jumping back toward him. She perched on the seat in front of him, eyes shining. It was great to be herself in front of Flame. She was always a quiet girl in school, made A's and B's, didn't have a family, but lived alone in the warehouse. She had a bed there, a bed of futon cushions and bubble wrap. Usually she slept as a raccoon, and had made herself a den, but rarely used it. It was so damp and dark and muddy underneath the earth. So she waited in front of him, her eyes glinting with excitement and mischief, and waited for the tiger she knew and loved. |

Flame grinned and said, "Guess your right about that." Then he shifted and his weight broke the seat. He shrugged his massive shoulders and thought Oh well. Then he looked at Siren with amusement in his green tiger eyes, and purred happily. He lashed his tail and then walked into the open isle and sat down. He yawned and said, "This place sure is small, when your a tiger." Then he looked back over at Siren and purred, "So what shall we do now?" He flexed his claws and grinned, showing his huge teeth. He laughed to himself at how small Siren was now compared to him. He then laid own, lying his head over his huge tiger paws and perked his ears up, waiting for Siren's reply.
